Description

Day 1. Mexico City

Arrival in Mexico City. Meeting at the airport, transfer and accommodation in a 4* hotel. Briefing with the guide about the program. Free time.

Day 2. Mexico City

Breakfast at the hotel.

Familiarization with the cuisine of Mexico. Master class of cooking of Mexican national dishes.

Return to the hotel. Free time.

Day 3. Mexico City: a panoramic tour of the city − Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Breakfast at the hotel.

A visit to the city's main square Zocalo, the Cathedral − the main cathedral of the Catholic country, and the Presidential Palace with murals by Diego Rivera, in which he narrated the history of Mexico from pre-Columbian times to the XX century. You will see the ruins of the Templo Mayor pyramid and hear the story of the bloody sacrifices of the Aztecs.

Further, the way lies to the Pyramids of the Sun and of the Moon in Teotihuacan. Unknown powerful civilization of the beginning of AD, puzzling to the scientists by high level of knowledge of mathematics and astronomy... Teotihuacan is "the place where the gods are born". This ancient city was the political, religious and economic center of Mesoamerica for eight centuries.

On the way back you will visit the place of pilgrimage for Catholics of the world (second only to the Vatican) – the Shrine. Holy Guadalupe has taken the indigenous people of America under her protection.

Return to the hotel.

Day 4. Mexico − Morelia (350 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.

The path will be run by the state of Michoacan. You’ll take a boat ride on Lake Patzcuaro. On the island Hanitsio you will taste the white fish that has a soft delicate flavor, you’ll see the picturesque villages and visit the city of Patzcuaro. This small city is considered to be the one of the most beautiful colonial cities of Mexico.

In the evening transfer to the "Pink City" − Morelia. The historic center of Morelia is under the protection of UNESCO.

Day 5. Morelia − Guadalajara (300 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the city of Guadalajara.

Tour of the center of Guadalajara, the second largest city of Mexico. You will see the Cathedral, the Hospicio Cabañas with the frescoes of the famous artist Clemente Orozco "The Heritage of Humanity". You’ll take a look of the Liberation Square, the theater Degollado etc.

Day 6. Guadalajara − Tlaquepaque − Tequila

Breakfast at the hotel.

An excursion to the town of Tequila, where a famous drink, which became a symbol of Mexico and its national pride, is made. You can learn the secret of cooking of tequila, taste it and buy a bottle right at the factory as a gift to friends or relatives.

Then a visit to the market in Tlaquepaque. It’s one of the most famous places in Mexico where you can buy the handicrafts.

Return to the hotel.

Day 7. Guadalajara − Puerto Vallarta (350 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Moving to Puerto Vallarta, a popular resort on the Mexican Pacific coast. The town has become a popular after in the nearby bay of Punta Mismaloya a film "Night of the Iguana" with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in the lead roles was shot in the 60s of the last century.

Days 8-9. Puerto Vallarta

Relax on the coast.

Day 10. Puerto Vallarta − Mexico City

Discharge from the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Mexico City.
