Peru – Mexico, "Two wonders of the world: Machu Picchu and Chichen Itza"

Day 1. Lima

Arrival in Lima. The meeting, transfer and hotel accommodation.

Day 2. Lima

Breakfast − a buffet.

A city tour of Lima: the visit of the Cathedral of San Francisco, the central square, Olive Park and other sights, including a visit to the Gold Museum, which houses the priceless treasure of the Inca and pre-Inca times and a superb collection of weapons. In the evening, you’ll visit the park of famous fountains of Lima, which is in the Guinness Book of Records.

Return to the hotel.

Day 3. Lima − Cusco

Breakfast.

Transfer from hotel to the airport. Flight to Cusco.

Arrival, meeting at the airport in Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. A visit of an art fair in the town of Pisac (here you can buy handicrafts − ceramics, carpets, souvenirs, silver and leather). A sightseeing of the archaeological complex Ollantaytambo.

Lunch − buffet at the restaurant of national cuisine "Inca House".

Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 4. Cusco − Machu Picchu − Cusco

After breakfast − transfer by train to Aguas Calientes. Then a trip by bus to the lost city of the Incas − Machu Picchu, which is considered to be the most powerful energy center of South America (Machu Picchu was discovered by the American historian Hiram Bingham in 1911). A guided tour.

In the second half of the day − descend to Aguas Calientes. The dinner in the restaurant of national cuisine "Hanaq Pacha". Then return by train to Cusco. Arrival, reception and transfer to hotel.

Day 5. Cusco

Breakfast.

A panoramic bus tour of Cusco. A visit to the architectural complexes: the Saksaywaman fortress, a temple Q'inqu, the Puka-Pukara fortress and the temple of water Tambomachay. A visit to the museum Qurikancha (the Temple of the Sun). Return to the hotel.

You can get the folklore dinner at the restaurant "Don Antonio" − by the request.

Day 6. Cusco − Lima

Breakfast.

Transfer to the airport at the appointed time. Flight to Lima. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 7. Lima − Cancun

Breakfast.

Transfer to the airport at the appointed time. Flight Lima − Cancun.

Arrival in Cancun. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 8. Cancun

The rest.

Day 9. Cancun − Ek Balam − Cenote Ik Kil − Chichen Itza − Merida

Breakfast at the hotel. Discharge.

A visit the archaeological site Ek Balam − the former city of the Mayan civilization. The city existed from III century BC to the arrival of the conquistadors.

Then a visit of the cenote Ik Kil − karst well with clean water. Swimming. Lunch.

A visit to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza, the magnificent creation of the Mayan − Toltec architecture. On its territory you will see the famous pyramid of Kukulcan − Feathered Serpent, which has become one of the New Seven Wonders of the World! You will see a stadium for a ball game, where the Toltecs and Mayas played and where the loss was equal to death. You will visit the famous cenote − a well of victims, where inhabitants of Chichen Itza dumped people from a 20-meter-high, bringing them to sacrifice to the god of rain.

Moving to Merida. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 10. Merida − Uxmal − Cancun

Breakfast at the hotel. Discharge.

A panoramic tour of Merida. It is a charming town with narrow streets, colonial architecture and shady parks. The "White City", as it is called because of the Merida’d mines of limestone and the walls of houses painted in white, before the arrival of the conquistadors was the center of the Mayan culture in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Lunch (the cost is not included in the tour price).

Moving to Uxmal.

A visit to the archaeological site of Uxmal − one of the most magnificent Mayan cities. The city was once a powerful outpost defending the Yucatec Mayas from the raids of the barbarians. "Built three times" is the translation of the name of the city. You will see an oval pyramid of the Magician, the Nunnery Quadrangle, the House of the turtles, etc.

Departure to Cancun.

Accommodation at the hotel.

Days 11-13. Cancun

Rest.

Day 14.

Transfer to the airport. Departure.
