Day 1. Cancun – Tulum – Bacalar lagoon – Xpujil

Check out from the hotel.

Tulum is the only city built by the Maya on the coast of sea that served as a port of an ancient regional center Koba. Besides, it is the only Mayan city that had walls. The place is very beautiful, cacti and briars grows in the crevices of rocks, large iguanas live here too, turquoise waves surge towards the beach with white coral sand. At the time of the Mayan civilization this city was called Zama, that means "sunrise", and the name of Tulum means "the wall, the fence".

You will then visit Bacalar. It is a tourist center with attractions such as the fortifications that protected from pirates, archaeological monuments of the Maya, and the lake of Bacalar where you can swim and enjoy the cool.

Transfer to Xpujl. Accommodation.

Day 2. Xpujil – Tenosique

Breakfast. Check out from the hotel.

Visit to the archaeological zone of Calakmul, which occupies about 70 km2 and hides more than 6000 structures, however it is actively investigated only in the last three and a half decades. The name was given to the city in 1931, when it was discovered, and in translation from Mayan means "City of two pyramids".

In the classical period of Mayan culture Calakmul was one of the most powerful centers of the Mayan civilization, a part of the Kingdom of the Serpent. The city was inhabited for about 1500 years, but its heyday falls on the year between 200 and 700.

Transfer to Tenosique. Accommodation.

Day 3. Tenosique – frontier – Flores

Breakfast.

Departure to the frontier of Mexico with Guatemala, crossing. Transfer to the archaeological zone of Tikal, a huge city, drowning in the jungle, which strikes with its grandeur and forms. The settlements existed here from the 7th century BC, and in the V-IX centuries AD the city was one of the main centers of Mayan culture.

Transfer to the city of Flores, accommodation.

Day 4. Flores – frontier – Bonampak – Palenque

Breakfast.

Departure towards the frontier of Guatemala with Mexico, crossing.

Visit to the archaeological zone of Bonampak, which is the ruins of the Mayan city with painted walls and inscriptions in the Mayan language. Here you can see frescoes depicting military rituals, warriors and battle scenes.

Transfer to Palenque. Accommodation.

Day 5. Palenque – Campeche

Breakfast. Check out from the hotel.

Visit to the archaeological center of Palenque, the famous Mayan city, located in the mountain selva, surrounded by tropical vegetation on all sides. More than 1,400 of its well-preserved buildings occupy an area four times larger than any of the famous Mayan cities. Its main attractions are the stone portraits of the priests and Emperor Pakal II, the chronicle of the dynasty, the temples of the Sun and the Cross, the image of the astronaut on the plate of the Emperor Pakal’s sarcophagus, which was found in the Temple of Inscriptions. A whole network of aqueducts, canals and sewers used to supply running water to the city was also discovered here, and, according to scientists, it is the most complex structure ever created by the ancient Mayas.

Transfer to the Gulf of Mexico, where you can swim.

After arriving to Campeche, you will have a sightseeing tour. Accommodation.

Day 6. Campeche – Uxmal - Chichen Itza – cenote Ik-Kil – Cancun / Riviera Maya

Visit to the archaeological zone of Uxmal. It was one of the important ceremonial centers of the Mayas in Yucatan. The local monuments of history are simply priceless - the Great Pyramid, the Magician's Pyramid, the perfectly preserved building of the Ruler's Palace, the Phallus Temple, the Turtle House, the ball game stadium, the quadrangle of the monastery and the Old Witch Pyramid.

Transfer to the archaeological zone of Chichen Itza, a huge archaeological complex, located on the Yucatan Peninsula. It was a major regional center of the Mayan civilization, later conquered and rebuilt by the Toltecs, and therefore it possesses a variety of architectural styles. There is a huge number of stone structures in various degrees of persistence, many of which have been restored. The dominant center of Chichen Itza is the Kukulkan Pyramid, often called the Temple. The excursion ends with a swimming: it’s a pleasure to plunge into the cool waters of the beautiful karst underground cenote Ik-Kil after a grueling heat.

Transfer to Cancun / Riviera Maya.
