Description

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY!
Only from 15th of January to 25th of March

The place, where the gray whales reside in Mexico, is one of the most interesting destinations for travelers, animal lovers.

Gray whales make the longest seasonal migration of mammals, swimming 11,000 miles at a speed of 7-8 kilometers per hour. Every year in late December − early January the flocks of whales swim from the frozen shores of Alaska to the warm water lagoons of Mexico's Baja California coast, where they occur courtship. The water temperature in the bay is close to the temperature of the womb of the female whale. Ideal conditions of the bay allow to the baby whales to be born as comfortable as possible.

After 3 weeks of the breeding season, gray whales begin to return back to the north. The pregnant females with cubs are the latest to leave the bay. They take the road at the end of March – the beginning of April.

Scientists note the exceptional punctuality of whales: in spite of the great distance that separates their place of habitual residence of the California coast, they come here every year at the same time. Only at this time of the year you can enjoy the fabulous spectacle, watching these giant mammals rise above the surface of the sea, throwing jets of water, jumping into the sea. You’ll be surprised by huge fins and can touch a friendly whale which looks into your eyes approaching to your boat. The whales do not show aggression and tourists can approach to them at arm's length to take a closer look.
