Cayo Largo

Landscapes and snow-white beaches of the island of Cayo Largo make it one of the most attractive tourist’s destinations. In the quiet waters of the Caribbean in the eastern tip of the Canarreos archipelago off the southern coast of Cuba a tiny reef is placed. The limestone island was forming for millions of years of the remains of marine organisms similar to those that form coral reefs.

The island can boast of picturesque places for scuba diving, especially among the reefs in the area of Punta Frances. A bottom protected from the strong sea currents is remarkable for diversity and pristine flora and fauna. The place abounds in underwater caves, crevices and cliffs, dotted with gorgonian corals. Coral formations, colorful sponges and many-colored tropical fish, standing out in warm clear waters will surprise both amateur and professional divers.

The very same Cayo Largo, covered with heavily flora, has something to offer to nature lovers. For example, to lead the moonlit evening watching the turtles that hatch eggs on the beach. Flamingos, iguanas and Cuban hummingbirds tiny as a bee represent the local fauna too. There are amazing museums on Cayo Largo and the nearby Isla de la Juventud; they are keeping the unique artifacts and exhibits. The cave Punta del Este, which is called the "Sistine Chapel of the Indians" is interestihg too. The walls of this cave are decorated with hundreds of ancient images of historical value.

Day 1. Havana.

Meeting at the airport in Havana. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2. Havana.

City tour: the visit of Old Havana,the historic center of the city, and a Cathedral Square. Return to the hotel.

Day 3. Havana – Cayo Largo.

Flight to the island of Cayo Largo. Accommodation at the hotel. Rest.

Days 4-7. Cayo Largo.

Rest.

Day 8. Cayo Largo – Havana.

Flight to Havana. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
