Juan Dolio

Juan Dolio, the resort town on the Caribbean coast, is one of the most wonderful places to stay in the Dominican Republic. It is located in the beautiful lagoon, turquoise waters of which are safely protected by semicircles of coral reefs.

Almost the entire coast of the Dominican Republic is one big beach, and this fact is applied to Juan Dolio even father than to any other place for recreation. Here you get to have three beautiful sandy beaches to choose from: small and intimate Playa Caribe, quiet Playa Guayakanes, and narrow strip of Playa Juan Dolio, surrounded by coconut trees. White sand, warm sea, the rustle of palm trees, fine hotels, as well as a wide choice of bars and outdoor cafes, chic restaurants with fine cuisine and great wine cellars − these are not all of the pleasantness that are waiting for tourists in Juan Dolio.

Coastal waters are overgrown with corals here, so the water in the bay is warm and calm. However, for the same reason, water treatments require the special shoes. Don’t forget about it when thinking of diving or windsurfing.

Fans of extreme sports can go rafting or go on an exciting jeep safari in Juan Dolio. For travelers who prefer cognitive rest, the trips to Santo Domingo and to the so-called "baseball" town of San Pedro de Macoris are organized.
