Cuernavaca and Tepotztlan

Cuernavaca is located about one hour and a half south of Mexico City. Visiting it, you will be able to enjoy not only the points of interest, but also many excellent restaurants and markets. In addition to this, you can safely assume that Cuernavaca is an excellent place to learn Spanish.

You will visit the Palace of Hernan Cortes (now – the Museum) and you’ll familiarize yourself with the monastery of Franciscans, one of the first religious order in New Spain. Cuernavaca still retains the status of a prestigious place for suburban residences of prosperous Mexicans.

Then you will visit Tepoztlan. This small town is located near Mexico City. You will see the archaeological site of Tepoztlan, where the main attraction is the Pyramid of Tepozteсo, and a Dominican monastery, which is now housed by the Museum of Colonial Art.

We recommend you to visit the Sunday market of the Folk Art, located on the town square where you will feel the unmatched flavor of Mexico.
