Yucatan is a peninsula, where three Mexican states of Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatan neighbor. The northern part of Guatemala and Belize are here too. The shores of Yucatan are washed by the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.

There are hot, tropical weather and diverse vegetation – from the savannah in the north to the impassable jungle in the south side – in Yucatan. From IV to X century Yucatan was the center of the Mayan civilization, which left many archaeological artifacts and structures.

Day 1. Cancun – Chichen Itza, Cenote Ik Kil – Merida (340 km)

Departure from the hotel.

In the morning, visit to the Cenote Ik Kil and the archaeological site of Chichen Itza.

Chichen Itza is a huge archaeological complex located on the Yucatan Peninsula. Chichen Itza was a major regional center of the Mayan civilization, later conquered and rebuilt by the Toltecs, and thus having many architectural styles. There is a huge number of stone buildings in various states of preservation, many of which have been restored. Dominant center of Chichen Itza is a pyramid of Kukulkan, often referred to a temple.

The tour ends with swimming: after exhausting heat it’s a pleasure to sink into the cool water of the beautiful karst underground Cenote Ik Kil.

Moving to the city of Merida. The former name of it is T-ho. It is an ancient city with its own traditions where the architecture of Spanish colonists and Europeans is represented, the city with narrow streets and shady parks. White City – Merida is called so because of its mined limestone and the walls of houses painted in white.

Evening walk in one of the first colonial towns that have emerged in Mexico.

Day 2. Merida – Uxmal – Hacienda Yakskopoil – Merida

Breakfast.

Uxmal is one of the most important ceremonial centers of the Maya in the Yucatan. The monuments of here are priceless – the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Wizard, well preserved building of the Palace of the ruler, the Temple of Phalluses, the House of Turtles, the stadium for a ball game, the quadrangle of the Monastery and the Pyramid of the Old Witch.

You will also visit hacienda Yakskopoil (Yaxcopoil) – an excellent example of acting hacienda, founded in the XVII century. "Yakskopoil" means "a place where the green trees Alamo grow". Three centuries seem to meet here: the pre-Hispanic period, the Spanish colonial domination and the beginning of the twentieth century – the heyday of production of Henek, natural fibers of cacti.

Return to Merida.

Day 3. Merida – Coba – Tulum – Cancun / Riviera Maya (340 km)

Breakfast.

Visit to Coba. It is one of the oldest cities of the Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula, where you can go for a walk in the virginal jungle, where ancient temples of a classic period of the Mayan culture and the stele with the original characters are hidden. Coba is located around two beautiful lagoons where you can see the crocodiles in their natural habitat.

After that moving to Tulum, one of the most amazing places of Yucatan Peninsula. he ancient city is built on the edge of a sheer cliff, offering breathtaking view of the turquoise sea, pelicans and eagles flying over your head, and an iguana hiding in the bushes.

Moving to Cancun / Riviera Maya. Accommodation in different hotels.
