Cozumel Island

Cozumel ("The Island of Swallows") is the largest inhabited island in Mexico (14 km wide and 53 km long). This is one of the most important Caribbean resorts, a great place for diving and fishing. This resort has gained popularity not only by the marvelous beauty of the underwater world, but also by the fact that it is a part of the world's second largest coral reef.

The reason of the special popularity of Cozumel among divers around the world is the presence of a large number of world-class dive sites in there. The sea is clean and clear here, especially in the Palancar Reef. There are many shops and restaurants in the pedestrian zone of the village of San Miguel.

Chankanaab-lagoon Park  is also a great place on the island for swimming and observing the life of tropical fish.
