Every year, Mexico welcomes the Monarch Danaus, which comes here for wintering. By late October, individuals of the east of the Rocky Mountains of Canada and United States migrate in the majority to the Biosphere Reserve "Mariposa Monarca" (Monarch Butterfly Reserve) which is located in the Mexican state of Michoacan. But in other places of Mexico this orange-black beauty can be found too.
On February 27, 1844 the independence of the Dominican Republic was proclaimed, as a result of the war for the independence, – the republic has separated from Haiti.
