Inti Raymi – the Day of Sun

The date of arrival – Jun 20 of 2014.

Day 1

Arrival in the capital of Peru, the city of Lima. Meeting at the airport, accommodation in the hotel.

Day 2. Lima

Breakfast at the hotel.
The panoramic city tour in colonial Lima. You will see the Plaza San Martin and Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, City Hall, monastery and church of St. Francis, as well as other important sights of the city.
Return to the hotel.

Day 3. Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport, flight to Cusco.
Excursion to the Sacred Valley. After lunch, visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo.
Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 4. Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the town of Ollantaytambo, from which you will travel by train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival – transfer to Machu Picchu.
After excursion – return to Aguas Calientes. Dinner.
Travel by train to the city of Cusco. Arrival, transfer and accommodation in the hotel.

Day 5. Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Saksaywaman for celebration of Inti Raymi, a Day of Sun worship.
The prticipants should come in holiday finery. The amateur teams participate in the crowd scenes here. The pictures of the past come to life before the eyes of the guests: the Supreme Inca appears and worships to the Sun, thanking for the harvest of the previous year and asking for an abundance of the fruits in the future, then a colorful procession and dancing begin.
After excursion – return to the hotel.

Day 6. Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.
Free day. City tour per extra cost.

Day 7. Cusco – Lima

Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to the airport. Flight to the capital, and there – connection with your international flight.
