Description

Day 1. Mexico City

Arrive in the airport of Mexico City. Meeting at the airport, transfers and accommodation in a 4 * hotel. Briefing with a Russian-speaking guide about the program.
Free time.

Day 2. Mexico City

Familiarization with the cuisine of Mexico. Master Class of the cooking of Mexican national dishes.
Return to the hotel. Free time.

Day 3. Mexico City: a panoramic tour of the city and Xochimilco

Breakfast at the hotel.
A panoramic tour of the capital of Mexico, Mexico City, a huge metropolis, founded by Spanish conquistadors on the site of Tenochtitlan, the ancient capital of the Aztecs. Familiarization with the collection of the Museum of Anthropology, the largest museum of Latin America, which houses thousands of pieces of ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica: Olmec, Aztec, Zapotec, Mixtec, Maya, etc.
Then you will walk on gondolas "trajineros" trough the channels of Lake Xochimilco in accompaniment of live music of mariachis. You will learn how the Aztecs built the "chinampas" − floating gardens on which the locals continue to grow crops to nowadays.
Return to the hotel.

Day 4. The Pyramids of Teotihuacan − Puebla (150 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel.
You will make a trip to the wonderful city of Teotihuacan, located 60 km from the capital. The name was given to the city by admiring Aztecs, who came to this region few centuries after the last resident of this city left. Even in the ruins of the city the Aztecs felt something divine and named it Teotihuacan, which translated from Nahuatl means "the place where the gods are born". You will climb up to two famous pyramids – of the Sun and of the Moon.
We’ll continue our journey in the city of Puebla. On the road to Puebla you can enjoy two magnificent volcanoes − Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl.
Arrive in the "City of Angels" − Puebla, which is protected by UNESCO as an outstanding cultural heritage of mankind.

Day 5. Puebla

Breakfast at the hotel.
A panoramic tour of the city. Familiarization with the cuisine of Puebla. Master Class of the cooking of spicy chocolate sauce "mole poblano"; a visit to the city market.
Return to the hotel. Free time.

Day 6. Puebla − Oaxaca (350 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Oaxaca. Arriving in Oaxaca. Accommodation in a 4* hotel.
An evening walking excursion through the historic center of Oaxaca − the gem of colonial cities.

Day 7. Oaxaca − Monte Alban − mezcal factory

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel.
A visit to the archaeological site of Monte Alban, which is in the UNESCO World Heritage list, located at the top of the mountain, with a magnificent view of the valley of Oaxaca. Zapotec Civilization, the masters of the craniotomy, another mysterious people of Mesoamerica, who went to nowhere...
Then a visit to the mezcal factory, where you will study the process of making of this drink.
Familiarization with the cuisine of Oaxaca. Master class of cooking of "chapulines" − crispy grasshoppers and "mole negro" − black chocolate sauce with chili.
Return to the hotel.

Day 8. Oaxaca − Huatulco (300 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure from Oaxaca.
Arrival in Huatulco − a resort on the Pacific coast. Accommodation in a 4* hotel.

Days 9-10. Huatulco

Swimming in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean, familiarization with the cuisine of the Mexican state of Oaxaca, a master class of cooking of ceviche and seafood dishes.
Free time.

Day 11. Huatulco − Mexico City

Discharge from the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Mexico City.
Arrival. Transfer to flight. Departure from the country.
