Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo

The resort area is located 230 km north-west of the famous Acapulco. Nestled across the beautiful green landscape of the Sierra Madre del Sur, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo area stretches for 26 km along the hilly tropical coastline with many sandy beaches and coves. Resort area of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is truly a fabulous place; no wonder there the movie "Tarzan" was shooting.

These resorts are completely separate, but they are served by a single airport, and because they are often mentioned together. Ixtapa is now a full-fledged modern resort, complementing the atmosphere of a fishing village, typical of Zihuatanejo.
